What Theta healing courses are available? There are 3 courses in Vianna's Theta healing curriculum:
- the Theta healing course, sometimes referred to as DNA 1&2;
- the Advanced Course; and
- Vianna's Intuitive Anatomy.
We also teach the Manifesting and Abundance course where you will learn to truly master the art of manifesting and abundance to start living the life of your dreams. We also occasionally teach Crystal Journey courses. This course teaches you how to use crystals to maintain a deeper, longer theta brainwave state. Both the Manifesting and Abundance course and Crystal Journey course are complementary to, but not part of, Vianna's Theta healing curriculum.
What is covered in the Theta healing course? The first Theta healing course teaches all the core Theta healing techniques - especially changing beliefs. You will learn how live powerfully re-create your life through belief work and manifestation. The course includes a number of other healing techniques for dealing with physical and emotional conditions, and a number of exercises to aid intuitive development. Intuitive Anatomy is an intense 3 week course focussing on how to facilitate physical healings for any condition. The healings included on the course make it also an incredible personal development course. What do you need to do to be a qualified Theta healing practitioner?
The first Theta healing course certifies you to practice Theta healing. It teaches you the key tools to practice on yourself and your friends. If you plan to see clients professionally you are advised to take the Advanced Course.
The third Theta healing course, Intuitive Anatomy, is one of the best and most intense training course available in the world for alternative health practitioners. However, because of the cost and time investment (it is run over three weeks, often in the USA) only a small percentage of Theta healers have taken this course. It is an amazing course for building your intuition and teaching you how to confidently help anyone, with any type of physical condition. While we highly recommend this course, it is not a pre-requisite for being a practitioner.
Who teaches the courses?
Most of the courses promoted by Theta Magic are taught by Simon Rose or Sarah James, two of the most highly trained and experienced Theta healing instructors. For more information about our teachers, click here. Typically Simon is assisted by a number of other qualified teachers. Depending on the class size there may be 2-5 teachers in the room (and generally no more than 25-30 students).
Some of the first Theta healing (DNA 1&2) courses promoted by Theta Magic are run by other highly qualified teachers. This fact, and information about these teachers will always be provided on the website and at the time of booking.
The Intuitive Anatomy course is an intensive three week course run by a small number of teachers with experience in this field in Australia. What sort of people attend Theta healing courses?
Theta Magic has been successful in its aim to bring Theta healing to a much broader audience. (To read about our aims click here ) The courses are attended by people of all ages and occupations.
When Simon first studied Theta healing, the typical class was 90-95% female with an average age of about 45. Most people were already professional healers (Reiki masters, kinesiologists, nurses, psychologists, etc).
Simon, as an ex-lawyer, teaches a much broader demographic than is usual. As well as other healers, Simon's courses attract a large number of professionals (lawyers, bankers, engineers, teachers, photographers, and everyone else from flight attendants to receptionists). The age range is much broader, with many more students and young people attending the courses.
After training in an environment where he was usually the only guy in the class, Simon is rapt that his classes are about 40% male, something previously thought impossible. This creates a much easier learning environment for all participants through increased balance in the group.
What concessions are available?
Theta Magic's policy is that price should not be an obstacle for anyone who feels truly called to become a Theta healer.
Concessions are offered to make it easier for people who are not working full time to take a Theta healing course. Concession rates are available on application to any genuine concession holder (eg student, pensioner, health care card, unemployed).
Where someone wishing to take a Theta healing course cannot afford the concession rate, we will do our best to make an arrangement with them. This is always determined on a case by case basis with the individual. Payment (instalment) plans are also available in special cases to help people pay for the course.
What do I need to do to prepare for my healing class?
There is nothing you need to do to prepare, apart from getting a good night's sleep before the class. Things to bring include a water bottle, light jumper, pen and notebook. Come prepared to broaden your mind - well beyond what you believed was possible!

What IS Theta healing?
Theta healing is an amazing new set of techniques that allows you to quickly identify deeply held blocks and to reprogram the unconscious mind.

How does Theta healing differ to spiritual healing / Reiki / etc
Theta healing involves an act of co-creation with Source. It is also an amazing healing tool for working with the unconscious mind. Theta healing is not, in the strictest sense, a form of energy healing. It does not focus on the chakras, meridians or other energy centres (though these are cleared during a healing).
Reiki, Qi Gong, Pranic healing and spiritual healing all involve the use of subtle energies (whether of earthly or of spiritual origin) to bring about an energetic change in the client. Energy healing requires the healer to act as a channel for this energy - collecting it and sending it on (through the healer's body) to the client. Theta healing is very different because the practitioner is not the "healer". The client receives the healing directly from Source. Therefore there is no channelling of energy through the practitioner. Among the benefits of this, a beginner Theta healing practitioner can achieve extraordinary healing results because the healing is not filtered through them or through their "blocks".
Theta healing complements energy healing without replacing it. Theta healing is now used by health professionals in all fields - including Western medicine, kinesiology, acupuncture, reiki and so on, because fantastic results can be achieved by integrating the techniques. For instance, if you are Reiki practitioner, your clients will heal significantly faster if you first use Theta healing to resolve core emotional blocks and to teach your clients to believe at the deepest levels that they are ready to be healed.

How many sessions might be required?
This is something of a "how long is a piece of string question"! We can only give the most general guide here. One of the biggest advantages of Theta healing as an alternative healing technique is that people respond very quickly to just a few sessions. We believe that it is the fastest healing technique available.
In Simon's experience, clients wishing to resolve a specific spiritual or emotional issue often require only one session. However a follow up session may be required - usually a week or fortnight after the first.
Where healing is sought for an illness or physical challenge, the number of sessions depends on the emotional (rather than physical) complexity of the condition. After just one session you might find that enough emotional blocks have been removed and the body can quickly heal itself. Sometimes a number of sessions are required. The emotional complexity of a condition often bears no resemblance to how serious it is from a medical perspective. For instance cancer is frequently attributed to an emotional shock and often responds quickly to one treatment (this is why Vianna and Theta healing became famous). By comparison an old back injury may have complex emotions associated with it and might require several sessions. It is very rare that a condition requires more than 3 or 4 sessions.
When you book a healing consultation with us, we will do our best to provide you with a realistic estimate of what will be involved. However please understand that everyone is different and we can't guarantee what results you will experience.
How quickly can I expect to feel results?
Many people experience instant results from Theta healings. Even if 3 or 4 sessions are required in total you should expect to feel different from the first session onwards.
Where Theta healing is being used to assist the treatment of a medical condition, we advise waiting 1 - 2 weeks before undergoing further medical tests to allow the body to fully integrate the healing. We have seen numerous instances of medical tests and scans (X-rays, MRIs etc) showing drastically different results when taken just before and 1- 2 weeks after a Theta healing.
How does the medical profession respond to these sort of results?
The most common response our clients receive from their doctors is "Whatever you are doing, keep doing it, but I don't want to know about it!". Some doctors are more open than others. Some specialists, especially those dealing with cancer patients, are used to clients seeing alternative healers and may even encourage it.
Increasingly doctors are so impressed by the results their patients achieve that they enrol in a Theta healing course. Vianna has taught many doctors, including world renowned specialists. There are a lot more doctor-healers than you might think as they tend to keep their qualifications confidential.
We are fortunate to have a few medical practitioners in Australia and overseas who are familiar with our work. We occasionally refer our clients to these "Theta -friendly" practitioners, for instance to prescribe a medical scan to validate a Theta healing. If you know a "healing-friendly" doctor in your local area, please let us know so we can update our database.
What do I need to do to prepare for my healing session?
The best thing you can do to prepare for a Theta healing session is to drink as much water as reasonably possible beforehand. Adequate hydration will help your body respond to the healing and helps us use a technique called kinesiology or muscle testing to check the progress of the healing.
Are there any side effects?
There are no side effects of a Theta healing session with an experienced practitioner.
Theta healing does not cause a "healing crisis". There is no reason why symptoms or feelings should get worse before they get better. For some reason most other alternative therapies suggest that these side effects are necessary in order to detoxify the body. (For example click here to see "Understanding the Healing Crisis" by Ginger Chalford, Ph.D ). Theta healing is a way of detoxifying the body without any such side effects.
What is a distant healing?
Distant healing is a term that refers to a healing session where the practitioner and the client are not in the same room together. Theta healing sessions are often conducted over the telephone. Indeed Vianna developed up Theta healing from her office in Idaho Falls, Idaho - a relatively inaccessible town in America's mid-West. People had to rely on speaking to her via the telephone. Before Vianna stopped taking bookings she had a 12 month wait from clients on all continents.
Whilst is may seem strange that a Theta practitioner can help someone so profoundly over the telephone, consider that Theta healing does not involve any physical contact or direct connection between practitioner and client. The Theta practitioner uses the techniques to enter a theta state and asks Source for a healing for the client. This is an intuitive healing, and distance has no impact on intuition.
Can an atheist receive a Theta healing?
There is no belief requirement to receive a Theta healing.
The Theta healing practitioner must accept some sort of higher Consciousness, whether labelled Source, God, Creator, Allah, Hashem, Budda, Universal Love, or any other name. The client can receive a healing without believing in any of these. Theta healing is not "faith healing" - it works whether you believe in a higher Consciousness or not. (In our experience though, after about 5 minutes of a Theta healing most atheists are willing to re-examine certain beliefs.)
Will Theta healing interfere with my religious / spiritual views?
Theta healing is practiced by people of all religions and spiritual views. Vianna tells the story of teaching a rabbi, a priest and a Buddhist monk in the one class (yes, it sounds like the start of an ethnic joke!).
Theta healing is a form of healing which is spiritual in nature. It is not a religious or spiritual school. There is no reason why it would conflict with your religious views.
What can you treat with Theta healing?
In principle all emotional, spiritual and physical conditions can be assisted with the aid of Theta healing. In relation to physical healing in particular, Theta healers have had amazing success with a range of conditions considered incurable by Western medicine. This includes HIV, diabetes, herpes and Down's Syndrome. Vianna (and Theta healing) became famous because of these results.
To be precise (and for legal reasons), Theta healing does not claim to "cure" these diseases since "curing" is a word reserved for the medical profession. [In the USA only doctors are permitted to use this word. American healers, like Vianna, have to buy a Minister of Religion licence to legally enable them to see clients for healing (prayer).]
We can tell you that Theta healing has enabled a large number of people with serious and supposedly incurable conditions to lead symptom-free normal lives. These people are real and they have before and after medical tests to demonstrate the results.
Is it OK to see my naturopath / chiro / healer as well as do Theta healing?
Theta healing is complementary in nature, it does not interfere with any medical or alternative healing therapies.
